Diabetes’ Foot Module 2026

The course, approved by the Institute of podiatrists, is an intensive five day programme for podiatrists who aspire to work as part of the Multidisciplinary team and also as a refresher for any practitioner wishing to update their knowledge.

The lectures are delivered by experts in their field and from Kings college hospital.

The dates are Monday 28th September to Friday 2nd October 2026.

Foot Health Practitioner or Podiatrist (Part-time - self employed) — Wandsworth Physiotherapy Clinics, London

Wandsworth Physiotherapy is a busy and growing group of clinics in the borough of Wandsworth South West London, seeking either a qualified foot health practitioner or an HCPC-registered podiatrist to join our team on a part-time self employed basis. We welcome applications from both - the role and rate will be tailored to your qualifications and experience.

Hours: Part-time - days and hours by agreement in either or all of our Wandsworth Town, Clapham Junction and Putney clinics

Rate: Competitive commission, depending on experience

The role involves:

• Podiatry / chiropody assessment and treatment: foot skincare - removal of hard skin, cracked heels, and painful corns.
• Medical pedicure: foot skincare plus trimming, filing, and thinning thickened or difficult-to-cut toenails.
• Nail conditions - management and treatment of fungal nail infections and non-severe ingrown toenails (podiatrists: including toenail surgery).
• Verruca treatments - professional care using needling or topical treatments. Diabetic foot monitoring - regular routine checks and nail maintenance for diabetic patients to prevent ulcers and identify early warning signs.
• MSK foot and ankle pain assessment, US scanning and treatment using soft tissue release or acupuncture, orthoses, shockwave and biomechanics (podiatrists only).

About you

You will hold a recognised foot health qualification or be registered with the HCPC as a podiatrist. A caring, patient-centred approach is essential. Experience with diabetic patients and a commitment to CPD are highly valued. Membership of the Institute of Podiatrists is desirable.
